The point was not to sell Aquadeco as alcohol per say but instead as a lifestyle product. The difficulty in selling a product like water is that there are few competing qualities one can note in an advertisement. Water is always going to be described as fresh or refreshing. Instead we thought by associating water with the fun and glamor of a party atmosphere, the water would seem equally fun and glamorous. We just took a path similar to that of alcohol.

The point behind having a profile is to control the flow of information between yourself and those searching you out. If you only want people you don't know to go to sites x and y but not z, you need to only include x and y on your profile. This is a much better solution than allowing people to Google you and choose from whatever results are available.

As for what's too much information? That's a decision you need to make after deciding on your personal/corporate brand. Consistency is what's important.

How much information sharing is too much?

While on this topic: a profile is, in essence, the representation of a "personal brand." Your google profile is not you, it is what you choose to share of you. No different than a face to judge, or a trait to dislike. I use each of my accounts: twitter, facebook, blog, etc. to showcase a different version of me. Sometimes there is overlap. And they all fall under the umbrella of David - but I don't want everyone to know all of it. I want some people delegated to each. Why link them together?

Let us not forget a few runner ups and potential Fifth Column candidates.

www.drop.io - A promising CMS portal with secure login to preview to clients and partners. I recently used it to communicated various ideas and themes to our department heads on the AquaDeco commercial.

Evernote - so far just a personal app but it's been invaluable in keeping track of meeting notes and ideas.

Curio - very expensive but a promising previz app. I could never really get the whole FrameForge 3D apps. It's just to much damn work.

Daylite - is definitely becoming a staple of the data overload and a good replacement to MobileMe as a CRM.

What was Fifth Column's motivation in pitching Aquadeco Water... in a way... as an alcohol product?

Isn't bottled water more a feminine product? Aren't men more likely to buy gatorade or other sports drinks?

Will your Aquadeco spot effectively reach its largest consumer? Women?

Or is China a different market?

Look forward to your answers.

A shift to google business apps was quite effective.

Google documents keeps my work flow alive.

I have experience a few problems with Mobile Me, but find that for the Mac world is binds everything nicely. Really, however, why does one need to pay for it? Can you answer this?

Daylight is perfect for charting motion with clients, and most specifically in our industry.
